A Rainbow Drop
--by Daysounds ©2006

Glistening eyes
Let go a rainbow drop.
Sliding down the cheek,
It salts a thirsty lip
In a beaten-up soul.

Glistening eyes
Let go a rainbow drop.
Sliding down the cheek,
It falls on the paper note.

Watery eyes
Shower face and nose
With precious rainbow drops--
Nobody to catch them,
Nobody to whipe them,
Rainbow drops.

Don't rainbows come
After storms?
Open wide your red,
Wounded eyes.
The Son is shining
Right behind you,
Giving you
A clear sky.

Why should you worry
About the stormy past
That is in front of you,
When from right behind
Jesus is shining,
Dissolving the clouds,
Creating joyful miracles
And wonders
As you had never seen before?
