DaySounds Position on Racism

DaySounds Position on Racism
June 7th., 2020

Racism is one of the many poisonous fruits growing from the branches of pride, and the
root of pride is self-centeredness (making our egos the gods we truly worship and serve).

If I place myself on the center-of-the-universe pedestal, everything else is going to be
under me. I and the people who--like me--share the pedestal, are above the rest. We are
''superior.'' However, that ''supremacy'' is not real, it is only in our minds, it is a deception
from the father of lies: Satan.

That deception of superiority has many disguises: racial, ethnical, financial, educational,
social, even religious, and it is color-blind (affecting people of all colors and backgrounds).
The elements of the societies where we live can and should improve--through our peaceful
demonstrations, active participation in the components of democracy, and other peaceful
means; however, the changes so obtained are going to be minimal and temporary unless
we put God first and foremost in our lives.

It is only by turning to God, the real and only one God, that we can experience a permanent
change. We can't expect that a permanent change within us--and, therefore, society--can
take place when we throw Him and His Word out of our lives, or when we twist it, by taking
words or passages out of context in order to support our sinful positions, which go against
His Love and Holiness (they always go together).
